Hi, I’m Tara Jade Brown—an author, former neuroscientist, incurable romantic and enthusiastic believer in love that cross boundaries.
My characters fall in love across cultures, centuries and distant worlds, often while facing dangers considerably greater than the average awkward first date.

Before becoming an author, I worked as a neuroscientist, which may explain why science so often finds its way into my stories, from biological weapon and microbiology to genetic engineering and building neural networks.
My writing falls in difference sub-genres: from science-fiction and romantic suspense to mystery thriller and historical romance, but at the heart of every book is the same question: what happens when love appears where it seems most impossible?

Today I live in Switzerland, where history, landscape and local legends inspired me to write The Witch of Rose City.
When I’m not writing or disappearing down a research rabbit hole, I work as a therapist, travel whenever possible and stepping wide outside of my comfort zone by learning to write a motorcycle.
